In short
I created an identity, a design system and a promotional website for a new brainstorming app.
Idea
Asko contacted me during the spring of 2020 with an idea in mind: making brainstorming and decision-making effortless and intuitive for team leaders. He had the market studies, the concept and the name, and my role was to figure out the rest. So we worked together to create an identity that you can't miss, that is impactful, fresh and dynamic. This also included creating a whole design system on Figma, because growth-driven design matters. I then designed and developed a promotional website to explain what is Oksa all about. I used mainly Figma and After Effects for the design, and Webflow alongside with some ✨Javascript trickery to bring it to life. Then I designed and started to code the app, but that's another story.

This color palette is used extensively throughout the app and is a defining part of the visual identity of Oksa. It also has a light and dark variant, thus being dark-mode ready.

Each color of the palette has been selected to work harmoniously with each other, and form gradients with semantical meaning depending on their context.

Oksa's primary font is strong, bold, and has unique characteristics. It contributes to making Oksa's branding eye-catching, impactful and dynamic.

Joris has an exceptional skill to bring specifications to life in wireframes and actionable prototypes. He is able to figure out the best practices for the User Interface and show his thought process. Especially I like his way of doing “boards” where he shows interesting already existing solutions for the current problem. This gives the project manager or customer a chance to evaluate alternatives based on something visual before execution of the actual feature. Joris is my go-to designer when I need new features for wireframes or just a perfect look for the UI. With Oksa App he has done an excellent job. As a freelancer, he is very helpful and proactive. He constantly suggests new ways of doing things. He lives for a clean and user-friendly design. With this all said - he still stands behind the original purpose of the software or website. He has a focus on things that matters. This can be seen in the weekly meetings with him. He doesn’t fear to disagree when he sees something that might endanger the user experience. He is a true asset to have in the team.
